Bio-Energetic Solutions

Bio-Energetics – is primarily about our cellular function and energy transformation  … also about various  therapeutic approaches that may help with these processes. There’s many different ways of enhancing our ‘life-energy’ … including ‘bio-feedback, bio-resonance and other various frequency therapies that have been developed by various doctors for hundreds of years .

From an orthodox, western medical science perspective, ‘bioenergetics’ is a specific part of biochemistry that is concerned with the energy involved in certain metabolic processes, especially with the conversion of food into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), basically so that we can function.

Over the last few decades, there’s been a vast increase in the number of approaches of practicing bio-energetics. Let’s explore this, firstly with an introduction to ‘life-energy’. Then we will look at various ways that may help to enhance it.

Life-Energy

Essentially, from a holistic perspective, ‘bio-energy’ may be described as the energy field between heaven and earth. As we dwell between heaven and earth, with each breath, we are merging heaven and earth. From a much more microscopic view, we need this connection, to generate an ‘electron flow’ throughout our body. It’s called in biochemistry, the electron transport chain, in the mitochondria, inside the cell, that generates Adeno-Tri-Phosphate (ATP), that’s considered as the energy molecule in our body to function.

As a very basic and simple way to practice bio-energetics, standing or walking bare feet on the earth may help to charge up our electron stores. There’s many other approaches. Some are very simple, while others may be much more complex. Here, I discuss more specifically the various processes to measure, generate and balance the ‘energy fields’ in our body.

BIA

Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA) technology has been around for quiet a few decades. It’s a basic, non-invasive and safe way, using a electrical current to estimate things like our BMI and other aspects of our body composition, such as fat mass and fluid content. It works by measuring our body’s resistance, or impedance to the current that passes through the body tissues. By interpreting these impedance measurements it can provide us with valuable insights, with factors such as biological age, hydration and much more. Along with various therapies, it can be a great way of measuring before and after results.

Bio-Feedback

Bio-feedback is simply a way of monitoring the interactions of how or mental, emotional and physical functions are affected. Often there is some sort of electronic sensor to provide real-time information to observe, such as with our heart rate, breathing, muscle activity and so on. This may be with our visual, auditory, or tactile cues. This feedback may help us learn how to more consciously interact with our various bodily functions. Overall, it may help, with improved physical and mental wellbeing.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a great example of bio-feedback. Simply, with a sensor on the earlobe and with watching the screen, as a form of monitoring the heart rate, this may facilitate enhanced mind and body coherence. Now there’s various mobile phone apps to help monitor this.

Bio-Resonance

Bio-resonance is based on the basic concept that all living organisms and their various components emit measurable electromagnetic waves. These frequencies may vary, from each cell, tissue and organs, based on each of their various biochemical and physiological environments.

Bio-resonance readings may vary depending on the response from various stresses. As an example, from biochemical responses to pathogens, environmental chemicals, cell metabolism or other alteration in our DNA. It’s like, different pathological conditions elicits an altered signature resonance or frequency compared to the healthy tissues. With various, modern day electronic equipment, this may be a non-invasive way for analyzing different frequency imbalances.

Bio-resonance Therapy

There’s various ways that modern technology can help us in the field of bio-resonance. Most systems nowadays are computerised. Basically, this ‘state of the art’ technology looks at our body as a system of energy. With this, there’s various organs, tissues, cells and their components which are constantly subject to possible changes from various external energy sources.

Basically, computerised, bio-resonance technology offers an approach whereby we may assess, research and offer ways of bringing various altered frequencies back its normal healthy levels. This then may allow the cells, tissues, organs, and body to heal and recover to a normal healthy state. Sometimes we may use the likes of an array of vibrational remedies. Let’s discuss this further.

Vibrational Remedies

These include such as homoeopathy, flower essences, gem elixers, and so on. Homeopathy has come along way since it’s inception hundreds of years ago. There’s may different types, including constitutional remedies, sarcodes, nosodes, polycrests, and so on. Each may have it’s own advantage. As strange as it may sound, flower essences deal mostly with the emotional component. We now have a full range of Australian flower essences. Bio-energetic testing may be a good way to research with vibrational remedy is best for you.

CEDS

Computerised Electro Dermal Screening is based on the concept that we all have energy pathways. These are known in ‘Traditional Oriental Medicine’ as meridians. This is believed to be how acupuncture works. Computerised Electrodermal Screening System (CEDS) with equipment such as the ‘Bio-Meridian’ is a way, by testing specific acupoints of conducting a bio-energetic ‘Meridian Stress Assessment’ (MSA). Some say that it’s like a modern acupuncture method, yet without needles.

The great thing with this technology is that we can conduct an assessment and then scan through the computer database and look for ways of making corrections. This may provide a comparatively non-invasive method for gaining valuable information about the bodys’ vital functions. Also, to provide feedback to help restore to an equilibrium with each system, meridian and associated organ.

The CEDS process involves measuring electrical conductivity, or galvanic responses, at specific acupoints on the skin. These locations typically correspond to those of traditional acupuncture points. These measurements are recorded to provide an assessment and to ultimately regain a healthy balance.

Bio-Energetic Bodywork

This is essentially is about the integration of various ‘bio-energetic’ modalities of massage. Moreso, than just subtle aspects, it’s also ultimately about improving mind-body, muscle, soft tissue, posture and function. Hence, enhancing our overall wellbeing. There’s many sub-modalities that are worthwhile considering. Here we will discuss just a few of my favourites.

Bio-energetic bodywork techniques may include such modalities as Reiki, ‘Touch for Health’ Kinesiology, acupressure, stretching, light-therapy, sound healing, aura and chakra balancing, reflexology and zone therapy and essential oils along with others. Overall, these modalities of Bioenergetic Bodywork are to help enhance our wellbeing. It may be said, to simply facilitate relaxation for stress reduction, hence balancing the body’s natural bio-energetic fields. Similar to the TOM body types, the Ayurvedic doshas, western metabolic types, there’s typically different modalities that may best suit different individuals at specific times.

Also, you may have heard of ‘Bioenergetic Therapy’, that was traditionally based on the work of Wilhelm Reich M.D. and latter developed by Alexander Lowen M.D. This is more of a psychotherapy approach of personal growth, it was further developed into what was called ‘Core Energetics’. This again, looks at how to work with different basic character structures.

Bio-Energetic Counselling

This is an integration of various counselling sub-modalities, with an emphasis on a holistic approach, promoting primarily the interconnectedness of our mind, body and environment. Bio-energetic counselling may be seen as more experiential, embracing feelings rather than just talking about our thoughts. The aim of these modalities are to facilitate an enhanced awareness for those seeking to align more with their core values. This may help us in ‘evolving consciousness’, thus appreciating our potential, our true self by removing ‘energetic blocks’ which are like subconscious, obstacles, distractions and sabotage patterns. Hence we may facilitate a positive shift toward aligning of our mind, body and spirit. Sometimes, there may be only a slight difference between bioenergetic ‘somatic’ bodywork and counselling. There’s many bio-energetic counselling sub-modalities that are worthwhile considering, however, here we will discuss just a few of my favourites.

One of my favourite ‘bio-energetic’ counselling sub-modalities is ‘Voice-Dialogue’. This may be considered as somehow, similar to ‘Gestalt’ or ‘Transactional Analysis’ however somewhat different. Many problems are due to miscommunication, not only with others, but also within our-self. Emotions are a great barometer of the conflict between our thoughts and feelings Self-dialoguing can help to promote a more integrated mind-body connection for better harmony.

Another sub-modality I love is Multi-Brain Integration Technique (MBIT) which takes NLP to new levels. Basically, it works to integrate our three brains, our heart, gut and head, to so that they function better together to achieve better results. Also, there’s various forms of ‘Somatic Therapy’ including ‘breathwork’ which may help with releasing pent-up emotions. For many of these counselling modalities I also offer as a series of ongoing ‘Life-coaching’.
