As a Naturopath with over 30 years of experience I’ve found that most health complaints have much to do with a poor lifestyle. So, to improve our wellbeing we need to enhance our lifestyle.
So many goals and resolutions fail because of 2 main reasons. Firstly, because most people are still holding on to the past as they haven’t fully resolved the issues that’s sabotaging their progress. It’s because they haven’t clearly identified their problems and learnt their lessons. It’s a major reason that so many people can’t evoke change. Until we can clearly identify our problems and learn our lessons from the past we can’t really let go of old sabotage patterns and move on. If we haven’t learnt our lessons, the future will always be based upon what we’ve always done in the past. We’ll be tripping over the same traps every day. Hence, to enhance our wellbeing we need to learn how to resolve our self-sabotage patterns.
Embracing Our Passion
Another reason that many suffer a poor lifestyle and hence poor wellbeing is because they’re not truly clear about their desires and passion for the future. So without clarity and tapping into the power of passion, many people simply stay stuck in their old mindset and will most likely just blame their circumstances. At the end of the day, we’ve either got results or otherwise just excuses as to why we’ve failed.
Sadly, nowadays so many people lack interest in their own health, self-care, well-being and hence, their life. For some, it’s because they believe that the government and their doctor will best take care of them. Other reasons may be that they’re tired, in apathy, maybe suffering overwhelm, are confused, frustrated, uninspired and are feeling powerless.
In many ways, we’re currently living in challenging times. Hence, these times call for extra-ordinary measures. As we’ve recently been hearing so often, with the current events of 2020, understandably, many are in fear. We all have many different and varied ways to cope with these challenges. Some prefer to just bury their heads in the sand and pretend the issues will go away. For many, distraction is also a great technique. Hence, we see so many different forms of entertainment, it’s a great way to take our eye off the target.
However, when confronted with challenges, rather than falling asleep, this is when we need to be more awake. It’s the time to seek greater awareness about what’s really going on. To succeed, we need greater clarity can help us make better choices. Hence, we can be more aware of our options, be ‘pro-choice’ if you like, more aware of our rights and become more empowered.
Also, throughout these confusing times, we seem to be exposed to so much misinformation. Sadly, nowadays so many people have lost contact with their inner-wisdom. They lack their ability to access their ‘intuition’ if you like, and tapping into their knowing. One reason is because, we’re so confused, as there’s so many lies, myths, deceptions and fallacies in our modern day world. We may ask, who can we really believe, who can we really trust and rely upon? Let’s face it, so often, most people feel safer with listening to the so-called ‘authorities’. They think this is the various government departments, the main stream media, their doctor and so on. However, have you ever considered just how accurate, how genuine and trustworthy these sources really are?
In these times, more than ever, it’s so imperative to become more aware. From the awakening of awareness comes higher consciousness. With this is the ability to make better choices. Then we can be more responsible and be more empowered. Some of these basic concepts may initially sound quiet foreign to you, however as you learn and become familiar with them you may be surprised what a difference they can make to enhance the quality of your life!
Living a Happier Life in the Modern World
Mostly, a poor life-style is just the result of a lack of ‘self-awareness’. Hence, this may than have a negative impact on our ‘self-care, self-development & self-empowerment’. Simply to improve our well-being we need to enhance our awareness of ways of improving our lifestyle. Contrary to what’s so often thought, happiness isn’t so much about a goal to be attained, more-so it’s about enjoying each step of the journey.
Many people initially think that happiness happiness comes from having lots of money. They often initially think of an ideal lifestyle as being the ‘high-life’ with lots of overseas travel, with luxury hotels, flash cars, lots of parties, exuberant entertainment and so on.
