For everything there is a season. Life has cycles, as there is a time to plant, for growth, and to harvest. As we are a part of nature, spring is traditionally the season of awakening and rejuvenation. It’s analogous to sunrise, once regarded as the new year.
Living with the Seasons
Life is characterised by natures cycles. There is a time of birth, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest, and so on. This describes the ebb and flow of nature, how everything happens in its own time. It’s a reflection of how there’s also stages of both growth and decline, as a part of our life.
The Season of the Liver
The ancient wisdom of ‘Traditional Oriental Medicine’ tells us that spring is the season of the liver. This insight is so misunderstood by orthodox western medicine. TOM has much more of a holistic approach, where musculoskeletal issues are seen to reflect various aspects of our body, mind and emotions.
Love Your Liver
TOM says our liver rules the ligaments and tendons. This vital organ helps to keep our fascia and muscles more flexible. However, our liver needs much support to function well. Spring is the season to take good care of your liver. There’s various ways that we can do this.
Spring into Action
Spring is traditionally the season of awakening and rejuvenation. It’s analogous to sunrise, the beginning of a new day. It was once regarded as the new year. As the days start to become longer again, it’s now the season to step out, and spring into action.
Awakening of Awareness
The medical approach of the east and west seem like worlds apart. However, now gradually more and more modern, western practitioners are adopting the principles from ancient eastern medicine to offer a more holistic perspective to our wellbeing. As we awaken awareness of ‘energetics’ we may also gain a deeper appreciation into our wellbeing, and the more likely you will get greater results.
