As we are a part of nature, also the cycles of nature are within us. Now-a-days, most people are just so busy, pounding away on the treadmill at full speed, all year around, they barely slow down to take notice of the seasonal changes. It’s often said; ‘who cares?’ The quality of our relationship with nature reflects how well we care about our-self. If we’re not honoring our relationship with nature, we’re not loving ourself.
Seasons of Change
Each season has it’s special characteristic. Living with the seasons is simply about tapping into these aspects. It’s how we can best embrace these qualities of nature into our daily life. It’s about living a way of life that is both in tune with nature and our biology. Simply, the more we live in harmony with nature, the more nature nurtures us in return.
Cycles of Living
Today’s modern, western world can be so artificial. It seems that the more we can distance ourself from nature, the more civilised we are. Our society typically strives for development. In this construct, many things are regarded as linear. Achievement is viewed as a straight line, moving forward and upward. Time is also seen in much the same way.
Nature is not so much linear, but cyclic. In nature, we may observe that time is cyclical. Moreso, everything in the whole universe is cyclic. The circle of life flows within cycles. We may observe such as the seasonal changes, the monthly moon phases, the tides, the menstrual cycle, weather, rainfall, daily temperature fluctuations, with plants blooming, and so on.
Times of Change
Our modern western world is trying to pretend that there is just one season all year long. There is this constant straight, narrow path to follow. The hamster wheel just doesn’t deviate from this line. It’s like we’re conditioned to think that the only way is forward is to work hard no matter what is the season. In doing so, we’ve lost touch with our true essence.
Real change is about being guided as to what step to take next. From time to time, it’s more beneficial to allow ourself to be supported by nature, to take a step back, go within, reflect and be guided. Just as other aspects of life on our planet are guided by the cycles of nature, we can too. We may observe that plants and animals adjust themselves to the various changes of nature. We can also attune ourself to the heavens by being more open to guidance.
Evolution of Consciousness
Sadly, much of today’s modern, western world is stuck in a trance. So many people are like they’re hypnotised, programmed into behavioral patterns that are really not very beneficial to them. Much of the population are so busy, working such long hard hours and never truly resting. Sadly, are stubbornly pounding away on that treadmill. They just keep going until they suffer from ‘burn-out’ and get sick. Many simply don’t know what deep relaxation really is. Hence, many have lost touch with their inner guidance, instinctual cravings and intuition.
Our true purpose is not to be a slave to the clock. It’s to evolve in consciousness. We have the potential to awaken to this if we realign ourself to nature. We are all, already affected by the cycles of nature, even if you are not even aware of it. So, by awakening awareness, and re-connecting to the nature, living with the seasons we may realign to our potential.
