Interestingly, July was once called Quintilis in Latin, when the year actually started in March, until the beginning of the year was changed to January, about 450 BC. The name was then changed to honor Julius Caesar, who was born in July.
Also, interesting how today we see July as the end of the old financial year and the beginning of the new financial year and tax time!
A famous quote by Daniel Defoe, in The Political History of the Devil, 1726: said “Things as certain as death and taxes, can be more firmly believed.” Also Benjamin Franklin in 1789 said; “‘In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”
Most people these days are stressed around time and money, and maybe these are the biggest cause of death. Many ‘Time-Warp’ Cards are maxed out! So, how has time and money been twisted and warped in your life, and what if death and taxes were a choice … what would you choose and how would life be?
