Bio-Energetics – enhancing our vitality!

Bio-energetics is not a ‘Woo Woo’ word. Let’s take a look at what ‘bio-energetics’ actually is.

Woo Woo

‘Woo-woo’ is a slang term, often used to try to discredit anything that seems to fly in the face of orthodox, conventional approaches, especially in the arena of wellness. It’s typically used to attempt to dismiss certain ideas, beliefs or practices that may be considered irrational, mystical or unscientific. It’s often referred to ‘New Age’ and spirituality, also with topics surrounding energy healing. These are often described as pseudoscience, implying that such ideas lack ‘scientific’ evidence and hence are discarded as nonsense.

Basically, it may be said that it’s a way of trying to mock something that someone doesn’t understand. Often because they haven’t invested the time and effort into researching the subject. Let’s face it, so many people are pretty much hypnotised and mesmorised, they’re held in a trance, of the conventional system, It seems, especially when it comes to ‘healthcare’.

Bio-Energetics

‘Bio-energetics’ is actually a conventional, medical term for the way that we make energy to function. More specifically, it’s the study of energy flow, the transformation and utilisation of energy within all living organisms. This happens deep with our cells are the mighty ‘mitochondria’ that produces energy, primarily in the way of ‘ATP’.

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) acts as our primary energy carrier, to power our many vital bodily functions. Basically without it we wouldn’t survive. It’s vital for our movement and growth. As we may imagine, there’s many complex processes to produce ATP. Basically our primary way of producing energy is by cellular respiration. It’s from breathing in oxygen.

Forms of Energy

Just as energy comes in many different forms, there’s also many different applications. Just as now there’s greater awareness of ‘alternative’ sources of energy for the likes of various commercial and domestic household use, such as solar, etc. also has awareness grown in the field of ‘healing’. Some approaches focus on the entrenched western medical model of increasing electrical potential across membranes with various technologies. Basically, it’s believed that various ways of providing electron donors supports the body’s mitochondrial function. It’s said that this in turn enhances ATP energy production. Basically, electrons are seen as ‘fuel’ for cellular energy production. Actually, one basic way of doing this is simply walking bare feet on the earth.

Philosophically, we may say that energy is generated when ‘heaven and earth’ connects. The eastern philosophy says the the heavens are yang and that the earth is yin. We are an interface between heaven and earth. Now there’s various forms of ‘energy’ healing. It’s commonly called an ‘alternative’ approach. Overall the various approaches aim to balance the body’s energy systems to improve physical, emotional, and mental well-being. One of the most popular growing methods is Reiki. Although it is not western scientifically proven it is now gaining popularity as a complementary modality. We commonly also see acupuncture with the insertion of needles, sound healing, chakra balancing, ‘Emotional Freedom Technique’ (EFT) tapping and so on.

Bio-energetic Modalities

Over the decades, there’s a growing range of various ‘Bioenergetic Therapies’. Some are more physical whilst others are more focused on the ‘Mind-Body Connection’. As, an example, often described as a ‘Psychotherapeutic Approach’ one way is based on the idea that psychological trauma is held in our body as muscular tension. There’s various ‘bio-energetic’ practices to help enhance our awareness of the body’s connection with our environment. Such as with various ground techniques to help enhance stability, centering and emotional presence.

Another ‘bio-energetic’ sub-modality is called ‘Multi-Brain Integration Technique’ (MBIT). This modality takes NLP to the next level. Basically, it works on ways to ‘tune-in’ to integrate our three brains, our heart, gut and head, to so that they function better together to achieve better results. Also, there’s various forms of ‘Somatic Therapy’ including ‘breathwork’ and ‘bodywork’. Breathing

For thousands of years, many different types of practitioners have practiced various breathing techniques to harness and cultivate the power of the breath. They have seen the breath and energy as being synonymous. There’s techniques that’s aimed at promoting deep breathing to help ‘cultivate ‘Prana, Chi or Qi’ and to help boost vitality and also let-go of physical, bodily tension. These ‘energetic’ approaches to breathing stem mostly from eastern practices. Prana is described as the vital, universal life force or energy that sustains us. It’s said to fuel our ‘energy’ combining our physical body and the surrounding environment through energy channels called nadis. ‘Chi’ is a very similar approach focusing on ‘energy’ meridians and acu-points. As in practices of ‘Qi Gong’ practitioners would direct the ‘energy’ through these channels.

So many people now-a-days breathe poorly. Often this may be due to poor awareness of the breath. Maybe, because of the many distractions in todays modern world. Sadly, many people are stressed, in pain and feeling fatigued. They’re often feeling anxious, in overwhelm, are confused and in conflict. This again, may adversely affect our breathing. As an example, they may suffer with with short, fast and shallow chest breathing. These chronic, poor breathing patterns can then lead to many other health issues. Simply, many of these problems could be overcome if we were to enhance awareness our our breath.

Escape the Sickness Industry

Although we’re now in the 21st century, in many ways we’re still using very archaic methods. So called modern medicine is still very much using either ‘suppression’ with poison or the ‘cut-it out’ approach. The big pharmaceutical companies and their cohorts trying hard to suppress natural ways of getting well that falls outside of their agenda. They call natural approaches as being ‘alternative’. So many people are finding that it’s becoming more and more difficult to get well while suffering the negative side-effects of drugs and surgery.

If you feel that you are not happy with the current modern day, western scientific medical approaches, then do you think that it may be an idea to look at other options? It’s legally required to say that if you have a ‘medical condition’ then you should seek the advise of a ‘medical practitioner, who may prescribe you drugs and offer surgery. It’s known that more and more, once conventional GP’s are turning to more ‘complimentary’ approaches. Overseas, more-so than in Australia, there are now medical doctors who use various bio-energetic, bio-feedback equipment to compliment their practice. Some of these are such as ‘bio-resonance’ and ‘frequency’ generators. Ask me for more information.
